A Son de Guerra
A Son de Guerra is the 11th studio album by Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra and was released on June 8, 2010 by EMI Records. It won the 2010 Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. This was the second time he won the award for Album of the Year. This album features the collaboration of the hit Colombian singer Juanes performing the song La Calle.
Reception
Jason Birchmeier of Allmusic gave the album positive who felt that "there's nothing extravagant here", he stated that "every song is interesting from one standpoint or another." [4] David Wilson of Wilson & Alroy's gave the album a mixed review criticizing the lack of originality calling and comment Son de Guerra "sounds more usual than usual".[5]
